For example, the two-pole SB® connectors are based on the design introduced by Anderson in 1953 and set the standard for DC distribution and battery connections. SB connectors feature a rugged, one-piece plastic housing with stainless steel springs that hold the contacts and create the "contact force" that provides extremely low contact resistance that enables higher electrical efficiency.
 
The SB connectors are also universal (rotate a connector 180 degrees and they match), which reduces material costs in your products and allows for greater economies of scale when purchasing. SB Series connectors range in size from SB50 to SB350, and each series offers color-coded, mechanically coded housings designed to both visually and physically prevent devices with different voltages from being connected together.
 
All connectors are UL certified to 600 volts. Contacts are traditionally silver plated to minimize electrical resistance while ensuring maximum durability and reliability.
