Colibri® is a shielded, double-row SMT connector system in 0.5 mm pitch.
It meets all requirements of the specifications for PICMG COM Express®, SFF-SIG CoreExpress® and
nano-ETXexpress connectors. The Colibri® products are compatible and extensively tested with the most common connectors on the market.

The COM Express® specification for connectors was developed by PICMG for Computer-on-Modules (COM). Among other things, this specifies which dimensions the module must have and where the mounting holes and contact assignments to the carrier board are placed. COM Express® modules integrate the core functionalities of a bootable PC such as CPU, graphics processor, main memory and standard interfaces. Plugging a COM module onto a carrier board reduces development time and costs. In addition, the life cycle of products can not only be extended but also upgraded by plugging newer COM Express® modules with higher performance onto the carrier board.

Typical applications for Colibri HighSpeed connectors are found in industrial automation, kiosk & POS systems, medical & measurement technology as well as in the areas of transportation and servers.
 
In addition to the classic application within the COM Express® specification (220pol & 440pol), the connectors are also available on request in pole numbers of 40pol, 80pol and 120pol.
