Marquardt

The Marquardt Group can be found on four continents, in nine countries and in twelve locations, with its headquarters located in Southwest Germany. The pioneer, ingenuity, as well as the clear vision with which Johannes and Johannes Marquardt first founded Marquardt in 1925, is still a part of our tradition today.

With just about 80,000 square meters of space, including Production, Logistics and Administration in Rietheim and Böttingen, the German location is the largest within the Marquardt Group. In addition to its core functions, the Rietheim-Weilheim plant is also the center of expertise for research and development for the automotive industry and Switches, Sensors and Controls. Components for the most diverse parts and end products are completed in both parts of the factory. The installed equipment for tooling, production and assembly is largely constructed by Marquardt’s own machine shops.

No matter whether they are looking for sensors and switches for all kinds of household appliances, for cleaning and drive technology, for heating and air conditioning technology or for standard switches which are turned out in their millions on large automatic production lines, the electrical appliance industry finds a partner here who offers much to many. The focus is on the individual adjustment of standard products on customer requirements as well as the new development of innovative switches, sensors and systems. The spectrum by marquardt ranges from the production of special subassemblies to the complete mechatronic system.

What began with a simple On/Off switch at the end of the 1920s, developed into a passion that has continued to drive Marquardt today. The mechatronic, electronic and electromechanical switches and systems can be found in the most diverse products and are highly desirable in numerous markets around the world.

A variety of expertise in core operations, such as mechatronics, high frequency and infrared technology, micro-processing technology, sensor technology, as well as a strict project and process management system, are the basics for the successful development of the Marquardt products.

  1. 09.02.2024 - New in the range: Low height and integrated LED - The 3006 series

     

    You can now find the 3006 series from switch specialist Marquardt in our range.

    The series is characterized by a low overall height and the optionally available, integrated LED lighting option. Optimized for automatic assembly, soldering is carried out using the SMT method.

    Pleasant actuation characteristics thanks to a clearly perceptible pressure point and a large actuating surface make these short-stroke pushbuttons ideal for your application. With the 4N version Marquardt guarantees a long service life with over 500,000 possible switching cycles.

  2. 18.09.2023 - High-performance standard switches for industrial and electrical applications

    As a switch expert with in-house expertise, Marquardt develops and produces pressure switches, Snap-action switches, toggle switches, micro-signal switches, short-stroke keys and many other components that are used in industrial plants, in building services, in power tools or in the automotive industry.

  3. 25.01.2023 - With innovative solutions: The rocker switches from Marquardt

    Rocker switches from Marquardt are used in industrial and electrical applications of all kinds. What counts here are reliability, safety, design, innovative solutions and cost-effectiveness. Marquardt offers a very broad, technically mature product portfolio and has decades of experience.
     
    Marquardt offers the right design for a wide variety of applications. If a pushbutton or switch is to be used in a one-, two- or three-pole version, you can also decide on optional lighting or printing. Versions with an IP67 classification also permit use in harsher environments.
     
    The rocker switches are characterized above all by their long service life of up to 100,000 switching cycles and by their switching capacity of a few mA (signal currents) up to 20 amperes / 250 volts. Some versions have an approval up to 400 volts. Test marks like ENEC and UL/CSA offer the possibility to offer the products also on international markets.

  4. 12.08.2019 - Marquardt adjusts product range

    Marquardt GmbH has analysed their product lines, and it has become clear that in some series the tools are already very old and will reach the end of their lives in the foreseeable future.
    Therefore, the manufacturer is streamlining the product range and cancelling the following series:

    Due to the condition of the tools, the manufacturer is unfortunately unable to guarantee every remaining output quantity. Depending on the incoming orders the delivery takes place.
