  1. 29.11.2024 - Connectors for indirect mating using IDT: the MICA series

With the Micromodul™ series, Lumberg offers connectors for indirect mating using insulation displacement technology (IDT) with a pitch of 1.27 mm. With four to 26 poles, undercoated and tin-plated contacts and closed side walls, it enables indirect connection of the ribbon cable to the counterpart on the PCB - a very space-saving and cost-effective solution.

Suitable for ribbon cables with a cross-section of 0.08 to 0.15 mm2, can be connected using insulation displacement technology, can be used in a temperature range of -40 to +120 °C and with a rated voltage of 32 V AC, this series for indirect connection demonstrates its versatile and convenient range of applications for signal and low load currents up to 1.2 amperes.

An overview of the available types, further technical data and data sheets can be found in our online store.

  2. 30.05.2023 - New in the range: The improved jack chassis sockets from Lumberg Connect

The new JIS C 6560 JC35J3A jack chassis sockets are characterised by the use of optimised materials and fast availability.

Suitable for temperature ranges from -20 °C to +70 °C, up to 5000 mating cycles can be realised. The connectors are reliably held in place with a pulling force of 3-30 N.

The 3.5 mm couplings are available both as upright and angled versions for mounting on the PCB. This makes these connectors suitable for use in high-quality circuits and devices.

An overview of the orderable versions as well as further technical information is available in our online shop.

  3. 10.02.2020 - New to our range: Series 65 - Pluggable screw terminal blocks

In the course of the continuous updating of our product range, you will find the Lumberg Connect Series 65 in our delivery portfolio with immediate effect.

The pluggable screw terminal blocks (KS / KSC) with 5.0 mm pitch are space-saving, hideaway and lockable. They have a wire protection and can be arranged without loss of pitch.

Corresponding counterparts for PCB mounting are available in straight (KB / KBQ) and angled versions (KBWO). These socket connectors are available with single or double row staggered solder pins.

The connector system can be used very flexibly thanks to available pole numbers from 2 to 10 poles and connection cross-sections of up to 4.0 mm². Load and signal currents of up to 10 A are no problem.

A UL/CSA approval rounds off the features of the Series 65.

  4. 29.11.2019 - Last-Time-Buy: Discontinuation of the Lumberg series 2,5 MB and 2,5 MBPH

Lumberg connect announces the discontinuation of the 2,5 MB and 2,5 MBPH series as of December 31, 2019.

Customers for these products will still have the opportunity until this date, to communicate their needs to us. The quantities quoted will then be taken into account during production.

Please also note that Lumberg Connect does not offer a replacement for these series in your planning.

  5. 02.08.2019 - Discontinuation of Multimodule 3810 and 3820/21

Lumberg Connect GmbH announces the discontinuation of the product groups Multimodul 3810 and 3820/21.

The product group 3810 will be taken out of the assortment without replacement, whereas the group 3820 can be replaced by products of the series 3823. However, it has to be considered that these articles are equipped with crimp contacts and therefore additional production equipment may be necessary.

For both discontinued product groups, limited quantities are still available as a last-time-buy option from the manufacturer.

If necessary, contact your customer advisor.

  6. 15.11.2018 - EVE meets Lumberg Connect

The German manufacturer Lumberg Connect was visited today by our colleague from purchasing Miron Over.

In a personal conversation with Peter Maffei, global sales distribution, we talked about the previous cooperation, which both sides would like to expand.

We will shortly be adding a new series of RAST-2.5 connectors to our product range.

RAST 2.5 plus Pin Headers in Surface Mount Technology (SMT)

Modern printed circuit boards are often realized in highly-productive, budget-friendly Surface Mount Technology (SMT).

To safely accommodate connectors with one- and double-sided keying the RAST specialist Lumberg has now added a RAST 2.5 plus pin header in SMT to its delivery program.

Lumberg’s plus range for the RAST system offers double-sided keying which provides for extended keying options compared to one-sided contacts.

    Features:

    • Surface-Mount-Technik (SMT)
    • spacing 2.5 or 5 mm
    • exterior locking or interior locking (suitable for bus cables)
    • one or optionally, two positioning spigots
    • automation-friendly design
    • operating temperature -40 ° to 140 °C
    • glow wire resistant (GWT 750 °C)
    • signal and load currents up to 4 A at Tamb 60 °
    • rated voltage 250 VAC (2.5 mm) or 500 VAC (5 mm)
    • tube or reel packaging

Standard RAST 2.5 connectors in Insulation Displacement Technology from Lumberg’s renowned Series 35, such as the top-selling 3521 and naturally also its RAST 2.5 plus 352100 connectors, make for an ideal pin header contact. Compatibility with all marketable RAST 2.5 systems is a given.

You can download a product overview here.

These RAST-2.5-plus pin headers will soon also be available in our online shop.

Our current program of Lumberg Connect can be seen here.

As an authorized distributor, we naturally supply you with all articles from Lumberg Connect.
